Meet Dr. Naresh Trehan, Diplomate American Board of Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He was Tom's lead cardiothoracic surgeon. Trained at premier institutions in the US, he had a long string of appointments before returning to India in 1988 to establish that nation's top heart and research center. He was attending cardiothoracic surgeon at New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital in New York in the 1980's. He was also the chief of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the V-A Hospital in New York. Oh, if that's not enough for you, he was an assistant professor of surgery at New York University Medical Center from 1981 to 1988.

He is a very special man of medicine, along with his very loyal team, training top Indian doctors to be the country's finest cardiac care specialists while bringing world class heartcare to not only Indians, but international patients from around the world. He has chaired scientific sessions in national and international conferences in the US, UK, Japan, China, Israel and Asia.
